It's a bright blue morning at Two harbors on Catalina Island, California.
"Cholyn" (female) is likely due to lay a 2nd egg any time.
The live camera was offline overnight, and comes live a few minutes after 8am to a view of the first egg still in the nest, but no 2nd egg!
Cholyn arrives on the nest and moves to incubate the egg.
About a half-hour later, Cholyn is watching the sky above where she likely sees "Chase" who arrives on the nest with a nice stick!
Somebirdy else must be flying around too close for comfort because Cholyn and Chase both alert and track and you can occasionally see a shadow flying. Chase flies off possibly to escort the intruder away from the area as Cholyn watches him. And all is well as Cholyn returns to incubating.
