I do two channels on YouTube and also do Dailymotion. I've had quite a few articles and essays published over the years with regard to the expat experience, have been interviewed, have done radio, et c. I try to tag all my clips for your reference and hope this helps you.
I have dual citizenships and never return to the USA. I still fill out a US tax form annually and still vote in the USA absentee, but I have another citizenship, where I also pay taxes and vote.
I have many clips up of how to travel for fun outside the USA, focusing on France. A lot can go wrong -- be prepared, and it won't be so bad. There are likely some tips you haven't thought of. Observing them might keep you trouble-free and having a wonderful experience.
Please bear in mind: the world is not some Disney park. People are not the same the world over. Small and large things do not work the same from country to country. Legal systems vary. infrastructure and communications vary.
