El municipio de Gondomar es rico en yacimientos arqueológicos. Del paleolítico han aparecido en Chan do Cereixo más de 200 útiles de cuarcita tallada. Dólmenes como el de Chaín, petroglifos podomorfos y naviculares como el de Pedra Moura y Castros como el de Xián nos indican que estas ricas tierras han sido testigos de asentamientos desde épocas remotas.

The municipality of Gondomar is rich in archaeological deposits.At Chan do Cereixo have appeared than 200 quartzite equipment carved of the paleolitic.
