We discuss how transactions travel via gossip protocols among nodes, how consensus is achieved using Hashgraph's unique algorithm, and the role of block nodes in maintaining the network's integrity. Furthermore, we delve into the functions of mirror nodes, explaining how they replicate the network state for transparency and accessibility, and how tools like the Mirror Node Explorer make this data usable for developers and users.

We also cover the integration with external systems through the HashIO JSON-RPC relay, illustrating how transactions are communicated back to wallets and applications.

By the end of this talk, attendees will gain a high-level yet thorough understanding of how these elements work in concert to handle transactions on Hedera, enabling them to better develop, debug, and optimize their applications on this platform.
