If you have been paying attention while playing Skyrim at all then chances are you've noticed the two giant moons in the night sky. It is said that Lorkhan, after he was annihilated, was split into two halves and became the moons, Masser, and Secunda. This is supposed to represent his two-faced nature and his struggle for his creation simultaneously.

Both moons are worshipped by the Khajiit, as the forms they take from birth are dictated by the Moon's lunar phases.

Despite popular belief, Nirn doesn't have two moons, but rather one which, in turn, has it's own moon. In Oblivion, Secunda is actually shown orbiting around the larger celestial body acting as Masser's own personal moon.

Due to how close Secunda is to both Nirn and Masser, the gravitational pull may eventually hurl it towards Nirn at catastrophic speeds or, alternatively, send it sailing through space to be lost forever. In the real world this isn't uncommon as a moon orbiting a larger moon typically is destroyed by plummeting into the main planet thanks to the forces of gravity.

So what does this all mean? This means that there might come an elder scrolls game where the moon may fall into the planet, which would entail a huge magical spike in the world since remember...the moon is lorkhan...and the last time we found a piece of lorkhan...well, Numidium happened...
