Mahsud Tribe is from Waziristan. In the past these dances were performed to whip up emotion on the eve of war usually around a bonfire. These days they are performed on special occasions and celebrations. The dancers are military men of the Frontier Corps. They are allowed to grow their hair long as per tribal custom and even get a special allowance for it - AJ
