Happy Pride Month and Happy Juneteenth!!! Mass Crush!

Описание: I did not have an opportunity to film anything for Juneteenth (because the red dyed chalk kinda made me sick with all the dust) but you all know I am proud of my blackness all throughout the year. I stand up for my black people in the face of adversity and I represent the dreams and hopes of my ancestors and those that gave their lives for my freedom. Juneteenth is about so much more than just black people being freed from slavery. It is a day that marks resilience, strength, triumph, and pride. It is also a day for others to reflect on the fact that black people in the south were not freed until years after their freedom was legally granted. They were still held captive and deprived of their rights and never informed that they were actually free. Slavery was just the beginning of the brutality black people would face for centuries in America. As we are now 100+ years past the first celebrations of Juneteenth, I would urge everyone to research the history of black people in America and get familiar with why every milestone is a symbol of hope and triumph but still do not capture the intensity of strife experienced by a single race. We still have eons to go before we ever get to a place of equality and the debt that is owed to black people will likely never be fully paid. I will fight, I will educate, and I will continue to excel to the greatest heights to represent my ethnicity and culture. I am my ancestors wildest dreams and for that I am always proud! ✊🏾

I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 Pride. Some of the people that I love most happen to be apart of the LGBTQ+ community and I couldn’t be more proud of them for living in their truth. I will always be an advocate and I will always be an ally! It is important to note that being an ally is about giving a voice to those that are often unheard and by doing that, recognize that they have their own voices and stories to share. We can speak on their behalf but what’s more important is empowering them and encouraging them to speak on their own. They have voices, they just need the platform and the mic. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈
