When buying beer, you may have seen this term IPA, but does that mean? Well, IPAs are one of the most popular styles of beer any craft beer fan should know. IPAs are short for India Pale Ale, and they were created at a time were refrigerators where yet to be invested. To preserve beer better, the British added in hops - which is both a battering agent and preservative, so that they could ship beer across the seas to India where many of the British troops were stationed without the beer spoiling.
The addition of hops results in IPA taking on a more bitter hoppy kick, and carrying bolder fruity and floral flavours than your typical beer.
