Polaris Slingshot wiring rescue part 2

Описание: Polaris Slingshot in for a wiring rescue and a NVS Audio stage 4 audio upgrade .

The customer complained that the bass ( or sometimes the entire audio system ) would just complete shut off while riding .

His battery would go dead if he let the bike sit overnight.

Radio face would not open

Subwoofers had almost no output.

Bike has 14 speakers and it was not loud at all ( we built his friend a 6 speaker sling shot that was louder , sounded better and had more bass ) .

After looking over the bike we realized why he was having issues .

Radio held in with 3 inch drywall screws and hot glue .

Seats spaced up with random nuts

Main power cable stripped and taped to the zero gauge cable.

The Taramps amp he had installed under the drivers seat was running 12 speakers on 2 bridged channels 1 ohm load per channel ( the amp can only handle 2 ohms per bridged channel so it was cutting back the output and shutting off )

The Rockford punch 1000 under the passenger seat running the subwoofers was blown

The was a 4 gauge cca aluminum wire running from the battery to the circuit breaker , from the breaker to the battery cut off switch they ran cheap cca 0 gauge wire ( both nuts we loose on the switch and were not making good contact)

The amps were grounded to the seat bolt instead of the battery !!?? 🤦🏽‍♂️

Amps were dry wall screwed to the floor of the bike .

The battery was loose and sliding around on the battery tray and shorted out against the tray .

The entire bike was ran on a single 60 amp 4 gauge ground !!!!😳😳😳🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
It says 60 amps right on the ground cable !!!! They knew the audio draw was more than 60 amps ( the bike itself draws 140 ) because they used a 200 amp breaker !!!!

We will be adding

DSP

2 sound digital 4 channel amps
1 sound digital mono amp
Horn tweeters ( the bike has 12 mids and no tweeters )
Custom subwoofer enclosures
Ground zero subwoofers

And all stinger ofc copper wiring .
