TUTORIAL
Ingredients for Chicken Satay:
500 g chicken meat (boneless breast or thigh), cut into cubes
Bamboo skewers (as needed)
Marinade Seasoning:
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar (grated)
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tbsp cooking oil
How to Make Chicken Satay:
Mix the chicken with all the marinade ingredients until well combined.
Let it marinate for about 30 minutes so the flavors absorb.
Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers.
Grill over charcoal or cook on a pan, turning occasionally.
Brush with leftover marinade or sweet soy sauce while grilling until cooked and fragrant.
Ingredients for Peanut Sauce:
200 g peanuts, fried
3 cloves garlic
5 red chilies (adjust to taste)
2 kaffir lime leaves (optional)
1 tbsp palm sugar
Salt to taste
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
Water as needed
How to Make Peanut Sauce:
Grind the fried peanuts, garlic, and chilies until smooth.
Sauté the ground mixture until fragrant.
Add kaffir lime leaves, palm sugar, salt, and sweet soy sauce.
Gradually add water until the desired thickness is reached.
Cook while stirring until the sauce is well cooked and slightly oily.
Serving Suggestions:
Arrange the chicken satay on a plate
Pour peanut sauce over the satay
Serve with rice cake (lontong) or steamed rice, sliced shallots, and lime wedges
