Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Certification
Canadian companies have until June 12, 2021 to comply with Transport Canada’s regulation with regards to ELD certification. Transport Canada’s Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations requires that all federally-regulated motor carriers be certified to ensure that each commercial vehicle in operation is equipped with a compliant ELD. To comply with this regulation, ELDs must be verified and certified by a third-party certification body accredited with the ISO/IEC 17065 standard.
