Gorgeous Lake Bled, Slovenia | 4K Walk

Lake Bled is one of the most photographed and most visited places in Slovenia and it was immediately clear why! The castle up on the cliff and the beautiful pointy little church in the middle of the lake seem like something out of a fantasy world. The day was hot and it was fun to see all the swimmers at the various beaches and plenta boats loading up to take people to Bled Island. Lake Bled area is famous for a cream cake which I had during my visit – delicious! I went to Lake Bled on the recommendation of a friend, Andre. Getting to and from Lake Bled by bus from Ljubljana is cheap and easy! If you’re anywhere in the area, be sure to include Lake Bled in your plans.

People out enjoying the 1 hour walk around picturesque Lake Bled, including several beaches with bathers, the blue and white plenta boats that can row you out to the island, and the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is the tiny church on Bled Island that you can see from all around the lake. You can also see Bled Castle perched up on the hill.
