The Ukrainian Military said it had struck the location of a Russian surface-to-air missile complex near the city of Yevpatoriya, Crimea, on Thursday, September 14.
Ukraine’s Department of Strategic Communications of the Apparatus of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces said the strike occurred on Thursday morning. Footage circulated on social media at that time showing multiple flashes and a plume of smoke rising from an area north of the town of Zaozerne, just west of Yevpatoriya. A number of loud bangs can also be heard in the footage.
Suspilne reported, citing Ukrainian intelligence sources, that drones hit radars and antennas of the missile complex. After the radar stations were disabled, units hit the missile site with two “Neptune” cruise missiles, Suspilne reported.
