THE THRUST PLATE YOU CHOOSE MATTERS!!
We make different kinds of Billet Steel Thrust plates, for Standard Ford Cleveland, Windsor, and our Titus Block. The Cleveland plate also fits Big Block Fords.
The Windsor thrust plate is available with an .080" groove machined in to allow for the bearing that hangs out of the block about .060" and the cam can still sit flush with the front of the block. https://www.titusperformance.com/prod...
The Standard Ford Plate, being made out of Billet Steel is not as hard to countersink if you're running a bearing.
