1. ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING CITIES IN US

Raleigh also called the "City Of Oaks" is an emerging upcoming metropolis and a huge technology hub! It constantly reaches top 10 places to live in the country based on quality of life, jobs and affordability. In 2019 Raleigh ranks 2nd in Top 100 best places to live according to livability.com, 3rd BEST IN Quality Of Life THE WORLD according to NUMBEO and 2nd in Most Family Friendly Cities by Homes.com

2. JOBS

There are many jobs available! The RTP(Research Triangle Park) alone has about 200 companies with approximately 50,000 employees.

3. EDUCATION

In 2017 Raleigh ranked as the 2nd most educated city in the US by FORBES magazine with over 49% of adults that achieved higher education. Parents are also very happy with Charter, Magnet and Public schools available.

4. FOOD & DRINKS

If nothing else, you should try one of Ashley Christensen's restaurants. She is a James Beard Award-Winning Chef, elevating Raleigh as a culinary destination.

For you beer lovers, Raleigh's Beer Garden surpassed Munich with the largest selection of beer on tap. It has the LARGEST tap beer selection under one roof in the world!

5. WEATHER

Raleigh has a humid subtropical type of climate with hot, humid summers and short cold winters(especially compared to northern states). Raleigh is at the meeting point of the Piedmont and Atlantic Coastal plains in Wake County North Carolina. Raleigh has hot and humid summers with a high average temperature of 90°F (32.2°C). The average low temperature is about 31°F (-0.6°C). Best time to visit Raleigh is between March and May during spring and between September and November during fall.

6. AFFORDABILITY

Raleigh ranks in the middle of the pack from an affordability standpoint with a medium price point of a house at $290,000. As an example, if you make around $72,000 and you have 10% down payment, considering a 4.6% interest rate, your monthly payment will be around $1,450/month. Definitely better than renting! There are many parks like Pullen Park. Greenways, festivals where kids can be kids and enjoy their creativity and beautiful life every day. A few of my favorite destinations are Marbles Kids Museum, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and Pullen Park.

8. PROXIMITY TO BEACH & MOUNTAINS

You are about 2 hours away from the most beautiful beaches. In 2019 Dr Beach ranks Ocracoke's lifeguarded beach #2 in America.
If you prefer the mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway will take your breath away!

9. SPORTS

Basketball is huge here weather you like UNC, TAR HEELS or DUKE.

For those of you GOLF lovers, Pineherst golf paradise is at about an hour driving distance.

Hockey - The Carolina Hurricanes are a professional ice hockey team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are members of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League.
