Can the parent with religious decision-making force the other parent to take the child to their religious institution?
First of all, say hi to associate attorney Carrie Owens! This is Carrie's YouTube debut!
The answer to this question often depends on the parenting plan, but generally, no. One parent can't force the other parent to attend church during their parenting time.
However, the parent that does NOT have religious decision-making cannot contradict the other parent's decision.
Ex: If the parent with decision-making authority raises the child in a Christian environment, the other parent can't take them to the temple.
