US-Saudi attacks on Iraq kill 20 as Iran war widens

Описание: Overnight US-Saudi airstrikes on Iraq killed at least 20 fighters from the Hashd al-Shaabi, a paramilitary umbrella group with ties to Iran, after the Kingdom accused it of conducting drone strikes on its oil facilities days earlier. 

This latest escalation, which targeted at least seven Iraqi provinces, could mark the opening of a new front in the US-Iran war, as Iranian proxies in Iraq and Yemen as well as US allies in the Gulf are drawn into the regional confrontation.
