Описание: In this talk, Doria makes an impassioned plea to parents to see the value of art and design education and understand that they offer paths to satisfying careers for their children. When she participated in TEDxYouth@Bloomington, Doria was a Senior at Bloomington North High School, where she served as the president of the school's National Art Honor Society. At the 2019 Family, Community and Career Leaders of America National Competition, she took a gold medal and won first place in Garment Construction--earning her a scholarship from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing. She plans to pursue a degree in Fine Arts with a major in Fashion Design. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
