Heroin Gang Leader Convicted in Court

Описание: CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (Rich Jaffe) -- It's the first case of its kind in Clermont county and it's a big win for the good guys.Members of a Cincinnati drug gang moved to Union township a little over a year ago to set up shop and take advantage of a growing market for heroin. Friday Raeshawn Wilson, the kingpin of this violent drug gang plead guilty to 30 different charges. Everything from trafficking in heroin to money laundering and gang activities.A courtroom full of his family and gang members watched as this lifelong thug was handed a 20 year prison sentence.In an evidence photo he's holding 10 thousand dollars. He even showered his baby with money.A criminal since he was 12, Raeshawn Wilson walked into court today in orange.Assistant Clermont County Prosecutor Jason Nagel tells Local 12 News, Raeshawn Wilson was involved with the Get It Quick gang that comes out of Cincinnati. They decided to branch out here in Clermont County. They believed that no one was going to care if they set up shop there. They believed they'd be able to continue this reign of terror through intimidation, threats and violence and be able to sell their drugs, heroin,cocaine and marijuana with no problems whatsoever.Wilson and his gang set up shop in Union Township's Picadilly apartments during July of 2012. When they viciously beat one of their own, Justin Reynolds, for allegedly stealing some of Raeshawn's heroin, Reynolds jumped out a second story window and escaped.Union township police and the Clermont county narcotics unit quickly moved in making cases that would destroy the gang.Wilson's attorney, William Rapp, did his best saying, Perhaps the most important thing I would ask the court to consider at this time is Raeshawn Wilson's acceptance of responsibility. Judge he has plead guilty to all of those offenses you set forth literally every offense that was part of the plea by the prosecution.But it didn't work, pleading guilty to 30 charges,Wilson was sentenced to 20 years in prison. About an hour later, one of his soldiers, Jarrese Williams, plead guilty to his charges. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison. The prosecutor said, The message that we've wanted to send for some time now, is to make sure that individuals who came here to sell drugs, bring large amounts of drugs into the community, people who are going to be affiliated with gangs, especially gangs that are nationally known they weren't going to be tolerated here in the county. Three more members of the gang are awaiting trial. Even after all the money you saw in those photographs today one of Raeshawn Willson's attorneys filed an Affadavit of Indigency on his behalf.It gets even better.Earlier on in this case, according to investigators, Wilson's girlfriend Sara Buckley, who's also charged with welfare fraud, put up a 75,000 dollar cash bond for Raeshawn.Who says crime doesn't pay...at least temporarily.
