He's always had a thing for cars. It's a family thing. His parents loved cars and shared their passion with him, like taking him to the LA Auto show every year. Now he does the same with his sons, aged 6 and 2.
Although Humberto's a gearhead, he's new to the car business. Before coming to Subaru Pacific he worked for Ross, where he was promoted to assistant manager and area supervisor. He also worked at El Super, in Anaheim.
Humberto says his previous retail experience taught him the importance of listening to customers and taking care of them. He says he's not in the car business -- he's in the people business. Customers say the thing they like about him is his positive attitude.
He's a South Bay kid. Grew up in Lawndale, graduated from Hawthorne High. Currently he lives in Bellflower.
