In this video, we taste a nationally award winning beer. John's Vienna Lager won a silver medal in the 2015 MCAB competition. The beer is a smooth, malty bomb that finishes dry and leaves you wanting more.
The grain percentages for this recipe is as follows:
60% - Vienna malt
20% - Munich malt -10 °L
20% - Pilsner malt
Yeast strains:
Wyeast 2633 Octoberfest - 2 liter starter
Wyeast 2124 Bohemian Lager - 2 liter starter
WLP 838 Southern German Lager - 1 vial
