Boundary Editing for Surfacing in Creaform VXmodel

Описание: Creaform’s VX Model software is the perfect tool for preparing a scan for downstream surfacing applications or 3D Printing. This workflow can be commonly applied to vacuum formed and sheet metal parts. First we'll extract CAD features from mesh boundaries as well as editing the boundaries themselves. Then duplicate the mesh and use the defeature tool to erase the features to create a mesh without features, this allows the user to create a single surface body while the extracted entities can be used to put them back into the CAD model. We'll also cover local and global smoothing operations.

VXmodel is a reverse engineering software plug-in to VXelements, which is the Creaform 3D Scanner data capture software. The main purpose of the software is to obtain reference geometry that can be imported into any CAD platform using standard formats (.iges, .setp, .dxf) with direct transfer to SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, and Solid Edge.
