Xylon logiCRAFT-CC Companion Chip Platform is a full framework for development of Xilinx® FPGA companion chips. A wide variety of provided interfaces enables an easy interfacing with the most complex embedded microprocessors like the Intel® Atom(TM) microprocessor or TI's OMAP 3530.
This video demonstrates integration of the logiCRAFT-CC FPGA companion chip with the OMAP3530 featuring ARM® Cortex(TM)-A8 host CPU through the USB link. The logiCRAFT-CC actually works as a peripheral connected to the popular BeagleBoard and its TI OMAP processor by the USB cable.
The Xilinx FPGA designed by the logicBRICKS IP cores captures camera video and transfers it to the BeagleBoard through the USB. The same link can be used for stereo audio. The flexibility of FPGA silicon allows for other expansions and implementation of very customized hardware that accelerates the host CPU.
