FULL PRESER: 'You've done enough': Gov. Walz slams the Trump administration after ICE shooting

Описание: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz held a press conference on Wednesday afternoon addressing the fatal shooting of a person by an ICE agent earlier during the day. Walz slammed the Trump administration, saying it's governing the country by "reality TV" during a press conference about a fatal shooting by an ICE officer that took place on Wednesday. Walz states Minnesota does not require any further help from the federal government, telling President Trump and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Noem, "you've done enough."

"To Minnesotans, I say this: I feel your anger. I'm angry. They want a show. We can't give it to them," Walz said.
Walz said he issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard, adding that soldiers are in training and will be ready to deploy if necessary

Walz said there is no coordination between the state and the federal government to let them know when the National Guard is deployed. "They don't tell us they're coming; they don't say why they're sending the largest deployment in American history to Minneapolis, they're not making us any safer," Walz said, criticizing the presence of the National Guard within Minnesota under President Trump.

"What we're seeing is the consequences of governance designed to generate fear," Walz said.
He warned Minnesotans to "not take the bait," referring to the Trump administration, asking citizens to let the state and law enforcement investigate the shooting.

The individual shot has not yet been officially identified. "It's unprecedented that we have- the federal government has already determined what's happened here and the motives of an individual," Walz said, addressing comments identifying the individual as a "leftist."
