FINDINGMERCURY originated in early 2004 when the singer/songwriter/guitarist, Joel Hundley, a native of San Diego, California relocated to Northern California where he met his new band mates: First, Joel met Sonny Scroggin of Vacaville, CA. Sonny is a high-energy studio drummer who has drummed in a variety of settings since he was three years old. Next, Joel met Chris White, a former band mate of Sonny's. Chris is from Santa Rosa, CA, and he brings over 12 diverse years of bass playing experience. Finally, Joel, Sonny, and Chris met piano/guitar guru Jay Pittard. Jay was previously a solo artist from Occidental, CA. Together these four musicians have started to make a lasting and positive impression on the world of music and its fans.
FINDINGMERCURY's music is highly electric, emotionally profound, and full of hooks. The band makes a matchless contribution to their genre because of their unique yet complementary backgrounds in rock, pop/punk, fusion, classical and funk.
