संसद में जबरदस्त हंगामा हुआ. राष्ट्रपति के अभिभाषण पर चर्चा होनी थी. नेता प्रतिपक्ष राहुल गांधी सदन में खड़े हुए लेकिन राष्ट्रपति के अभिभाषण के बजाए राहुल ने राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा का मसला उठाया. एक बार फिर चीन का राग अलापा, एक ऐसी किताब को कोट किया जो कभी छपी ही नहीं. किताब पूर्व आर्मी चीफ एमएम नरवणे की है जिसका एक लेख मैगजिन में छपा था. राहुल बार बार चीन की हिमाकत की बात कर रहे थे. सरकार से सवाल पूछ रहे थे जबकि सरकार कह रही थी कि ऐसी किसी भी बात पर सदन में चर्चा नहीं होगी जिसका कोई रिकॉर्ड ही नहीं है.

There was a huge uproar in Parliament. The discussion was supposed to be on the President's address. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi stood up in the House, but instead of discussing the President's address, he raised the issue of national security. He once again brought up the issue of China, quoting from a book that has never been published. The book is supposedly by former Army Chief MM Naravane, but only an article from it was published in a magazine. Rahul repeatedly spoke about China's aggression and questioned the government, while the government maintained that there would be no discussion in the House on anything for which there was no official record.
