In this first interview with Simon Gray, we talk about his background in the martial arst and his new book:" Suck It Up Or Go Home."
Simon started out his martial arts journey in Kung Fu and quickly progressed to Muay Thai under Kru Tony Moore and Master Lec.
The late eighties and early nineties were arguably the golden age of Muay Thai in the UK and Simon shares stories of what it was like to train and fight during this period.
In 2005 Simon travelled to Tokyo, Japan to enrol in the Yoshinkan Aikido Senshusei Course.
Also known as the Tokyo Riot Police Course, it took him from white belt to Black Belt in 11 months on what many have described as the toughest martial arts course in the world. He has also trained in Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has a keen interest and understanding of not just the physical side, but also the spiritual aspect of training in the martial arts.
