Hook: 4mm (3mm with thinner yarn)
Christmas Pudding Pattern
With brown yarn make a slip knot and chain 19
Skip the 1st chain from the hook and sc into 4 chains, hdc in the next 10 chains, sc in the last 4 chains
Ch1, turn your work and sc in first 4, hdc in next 10, sc in next 4
Repeat for 30 rows
Fold work in half and slip stitch the 2 sides together, ch1 to fasten off
Sew the top with a needle, tie loose ends together tight
Fill pudding with a lot of soft toy stuffing
Sew the bottom with a needle, tie loose ends together tight
Icing Pattern
With white yarn make a slip knot, ch4, sl st into 1st chain to create a loop
1. BDC- Beginning double crochet (sc, ch1) into the loop, finish cluster with 2 dc, ch2, 4 more clusters with 2ch in-between (5 clusters in total)
Sl st into bdc to finish round 1
2. Turn your work, bdc into ch space, 2 more dc to finish cluster, (ch1, 3dc cluster into next ch space, 2ch, 3dc cluster in the same ch space) repeat into each corner
When you reach the first cluster you made in this round ch1, 3dc cluster in the same space as first cluster, ch2, sl st into bdc to finish round 2
3. Turn your work, bdc into ch space, 2tc, ch2, 2tc, dc, (ch1, 3dc in next ch space, ch1, 1dc, 2tc, ch2, 2tc, 1dc in corner ch space) repeat pattern, after the last 3dc cluster ch1, sl st into bdc, ch1 and fasten off
Feed the brown loose ends through the middle of the icing, tie a knot so that it becomes a tree ornament
Sew white loose end from the beginning into pudding
Use the other loose end to tie down icing corner
Use white yarn to tie down each corner of the icing to the pudding, placing one side of the thread above the chains and the other side underneath the chains
Holly Leaves Pattern (Make 2)
With green yarn make a slip knot, ch4, sl st into 1st chain to create a loop
BDC into the loop, finish cluster with 2dc, ch2, 3dc cluster, peak: ch4, sl st into 3rd ch from hook, ch1, 3dc cluster, ch2, 3dc cluster, make a peak, bdc into previous bdc
Make a peak, 3dc into next ch space, make a peak, 3dc cluster into same ch space, make last peak, sc into left dc of the cluster, ch1 and fasten off
Sew the ends towards the bottom of the leaf (the part which doesn’t have a peak) and attach to the top of the pudding
Berry Pattern
With red yarn make a slip knot, ch3, 6hdc in very first ch, sl st into the first hdc, ch1 and fasten off
Pull first loose end to form a circle
Sew the other loose end into the middle of the berry and attach to the top of the pudding
