Описание: Watch me replicate this piece of mid-century concept art, originally made by the master illustrator and visual artist, Eyvind Earle for Disney's 1959 classic, Sleeping Beauty. Learn how to use acrylic gouache to paint a gradient and a sponge to create texture in this painting demonstration.

I chose this piece to celebrate the end of an epic year, 2024, and the start of 2025, which I feel is going to be a year filled with good things. Maleficent is giving us triumph, she's giving empowerment, she's giving joy! And maybe some evil, but we can't blame her for what she is. I just love the concept art from Sleeping Beauty... it's all so beautiful and detailed. Eyvind Earle had such a strong vision for the animated film, and along with creating almost all of the concept art, he was also responsible for the backgrounds and overall aesthetic of the movie. And let's not forget those Eyvind trees! This piece showcases some of his more simplified trees, which were so easy and fun to paint.
