This year, more than 15,000 people are expected to travel to Mason County to pay tribute to the red-eyed, winged creature from the sky who many claim was present the night of the Silver Bridge collapse in December 1967. In the center of the town is a statue of the Mothman, which has become a tourist destination for those interested in cryptids.
