Originally penned in the 1970s by our very own Jane McNealy, “In the City” is an upbeat funk track and homage to New York, its people, and city life.
Featuring Lynne Marta, George Ball, and Jane on vocals, the recording session was produced and orchestrated by Jim Androne, who also played guitar, bass, and drums. Jane accompanied on piano.
Lo-Flo Records is proud to release another gem from Jane's treasure trove. The song captures the spirit of '70s New York - its backstreets, Coney Island dreams, and endless possibilities. Accompanied by a retro-inspired music video from @jeremygladen, featuring nostalgic glimpses NYC life back then.
