Today marks the ninth round for Season 11 of the SimRacing International (SRi) GT3 Championship as brought to you on iRacing with this broadcast focused on Split-A!

We head to Italy for our final two rounds of the season. First up is the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. With its origins being focused on motorcycle racing upon its opening in 1972, this circuit has rapidly expanded its repertoire to become a popular venue for racing on four wheels as well. What it lacks in elevation change it makes up for with its sweeping corner complexes and sharp hairpins which, when combined with its wide road surface, provide plenty of overtaking opportunities so long as our drivers can get close enough!

In the ELITE class, whilst he may have been on the bottom step of an all Vulkan Motorsports podium last round, Tseard Ploeg has improved his lead. Now 137 points ahead of Hayden Miller, Ploeg could take the title today. Meanwhile the fight for spots in the top five continues to intensify with Miller; William Humphrey; Lewis Kenyon; Ryan Nickerson; Benediktas Sinkevicius; and Milton Tomlinson-Dennis all within 124 points of each other!

In the PRO class, a masterclass victory from Rhys Saunders at the Nürburgring GP circuit has seen him move 105 points ahead of Fotis Katechos and almost within reach of the title. Whilst it is likely the title fight will continue to Imola in a week’s time, Saunders will know he does not need perfection to bring the crown home. Katechos meanwhile will be keen to take every point he can to at least fend off Mikey Storey in the battle for the runner-up spot!
