This video covers the Alpine Butterfly Knot, aka the "Linesman's Loop" ABOK 331. This is a super useful knot in caving, climbing and rope access rigging. We use it to create loops midway along rope for building Y-hangs or rigging travers lines. This video shows three different methods for tying Alpine Butterfly, including how to rethread it around a fixed anchor eye. This knot is essential knowledge for anyone going through the Cave and Mine Leader or Cave Instructor qualifications.
