This tool was crafted in the Winkler Knives shop in Northwestern North Carolina by skilled Blue Ridge Mountain artisans. It was created to provide unfailing performance and to last a lifetime. The SD2 (Standard Duty 2) is the perfect everyday carry fixed blade for hard use situations. The blade measures 3-1/4" with an overall length of 7". This makes the knife easily concealable and legal to carry in most areas with blade length restrictions (check your local knife laws).
The blade is 80CrV2 carbon steel -- a steel that takes and holds an incredibly keen edge. A Caswell black oxide finish is both non-reflective and provides limited rust resistance. A skeletonized full tang reduces weight. Jimping along the spine offers an easy thumb purchase.
Brown laminate handle scales are set on the full tang and secured using two pins. The scales are gently rounded to fill the hand nicely and provide a secure grip.
This knife includes a leather sheath built in the USA by DeSantis Leather. A Discreet Carry spring belt clip allows for easy vertical belt carry or pocket carry.
