The Last Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione

Описание: With this video, we leap into the past, precisely in June 2018 when on the circuits of Monza and Modena, I had the pleasure of seeing and filming the last Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione produced, from 1972 chassis 16425. I must thank the English crew, James & David Cottingham, for being very kind to us and allowing us to film the OnBoard car. The history of this car is fascinating because it was delivered in 1972 to Garage Francorchamps, and then, in 1973 with Ecurie Francorchamps, the Ferrari importer for Belgium, began its racing career. The Daytona participated in the 1000 Kilometers of Francorchamps (5-6 May 1973) with race number 42, driven by the Teddy Pilette/Richard Bond crew, finishing 12th overall and 3rd in the GT class. On 9 and 10 June of the same year, it ran the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the number 34 (which it still wears on the doors) with the crew composed of Jean-Claude Andruet/Richard Bond, finishing 20th overall and 4th in the GT 5.0 class. Then, it no longer raced and remained perfectly preserved, never restored, in the condition in which it finished the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The owners recently decided it was time to return it to competition. The car passed under the care of the English specialists of DK Engineering, who prepared it to participate in the two editions of the Modena Cento Ore Classic in 2018 and 2019. The car is, therefore, the fifteenth and last Daytona Competizione built and is in perfect condition. Con questo video facciamo un salto nel passato, precisamente nel mese di Giugno 2018 quando sui circuiti di Monza e Modena ho avuto il piacere di vedere e filmare l'ultima Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione prodotta, del 1972, telaio 16425. Devo ringraziare l'equipaggio inglese James & David Cottingham per essere stati molto gentili nei nostri confronti ed averci permesso di filmare l'OnBoard della vettura. La storia di questa vettura è molto interessante perchè è stata consegnata da nuova nel 1972 a Garage Francorchamps e dal 1973 con Ecurie Francorchamps dell’importatore Ferrari per il Belgio, Jacques Swaters ha iniziato la sua carriera nelle corse. Ha preso parte alla 1000 Chilometri di Francorchamps (5-6 Maggio 1973) con il numero di gara 42 guidata dall'equipaggio Teddy Pilette/Richard Bond finendo 12° assoluta e 3° nella classe GT.
Il 9 e 10 Giugno dello stesso anno ha corso la 24 Ore di Le Mans con il numero 34 (che ancora porta sugli sportelli) con l'eqquipaggio composto da Jean-Claude Andruet/Richard Bond, finendo 20° assoluta 4° nella classe GT5.0. Poi non ha più corso ed è rimasta perfettamente conservata, mai restaurata, nelle condizioni in cui ha finito la 24 Ore di Le Mans. In tempi recenti i proprietari hanno deciso che era ora di farla tornare alle competizioni e l'auto è passata sotto le cure degli specialisti inglesi di DK Engineering che l'hanno preparata per prendere parte alle due edizioni della Modena Cento Ore Classic, nel 2018 e 2019. La vettura dunque è la quindicesima ed ultima Daytona Competizione realizzata e si trova in perfetto stato di conservazione.
