Migrant workers make valuable contributions to societies. However, they remain disproportionately vulnerable to exploitation and abuse, representing almost a quarter of the 25 million victims of forced labour globally.
As states have the duty to protect, businesses have a responsibility to respect migrant workers’ rights, and remedy harm when it has occurred. IOM invites you to learn more about migrant worker journeys, risks they face during recruitment, employment and return, and what businesses can do to eliminate forced labour and exploitation from operations and supply chains.
