When I was a little girl and living in our old home, my parents would always play CDs in the morning. The speakers would carry all the way to my room and always wake me up. They played a ton of artists and bands, —no particular taste in music, and it was really cool. But the music they played most often was the Bee Gees, Queen, and Abba.
I remember not being able to speak English at the time —well, I knew a few words but couldn't understand complete sentences. Every time I heard the Bee Gees' song "Run To Me," I always thought of Veggie, our golden retriever, because… I knew what the word "run" meant, and dogs like to run, haha. To this day, even after I learned English, this song forever reminds me of Veggie 🤗🦮
Anyway, on Valentine's Day, my dad visited me, and he brought me food and small gifts for my cats. We then listened to the Bee Gees songs and agreed that they had the best vocal harmonies. My dad loves The Beatles, but he still admits that the Bee Gees' vocals sound purer and more precise. Hahaha, he's an honest man 😜
