Denmarks ugly behavior - European Junior Teams Championships. Toremis (Turkey) vs Thomasen (DK)

Описание: It is a trend; badminton players from Denmark very often dispute the referee or umpire's decision. Are the next generation of badminton players from Denmark the drama queens of badminton?

This is from a quarterfinal match between Turkey and Denmark at the European Junior Team Championships 2024.

Salomon Thomasen of Denmark gets into a heated exchange with the referee. He even thought he could call upon the tournament umpire. Something only the referee can do.

In our opinion, the referee was being too nice to Thomasen. He should have yellow-carded him for this type of behavior.

On the other hand, Turkeys Mehmet Toremis was having a field day. Born in 2008, he is technically still an under 17 player. Even so, he is part of the Turkish Junior (U19) National Team. One to watch in the future.

P.S. Lovely to watch the enthusiasm displayed by Mehmet Toremis - constantly asking his teammates to cheer him on ;-)
