Описание: Christmas Bumper Lottery Prize Dispute: ക്രിസ്മസ്-പുതുവത്സര ബംപർ ലോട്ടറിയുടെ 20 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ഒന്നാം സമ്മാനത്തുക കൈമാറുന്നത് ഹൈക്കോടതി തടഞ്ഞു. ടിക്കറ്റ് തനിക്ക് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടതാണെന്നും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ഇത് മറ്റൊരാളുടെ കൈവശം എത്തിയതാണെന്നും കാട്ടി പിറവം സ്വദേശിയായ റിട്ട. എഎസ്ഐ കെ.കെ. സജിമോൻ നൽകിയ ഹർജിയിലാണ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് ബച്ചു കുര്യൻ തോമസിന്റെ നടപടി. സമ്മാനാർഹമായ ടിക്കറ്റിന്റെ പകർപ്പും അത് ഹാജരാക്കിയ വ്യക്തിയുടെ വിവരങ്ങളും മുദ്രവച്ച കവറിൽ സമർപ്പിക്കാൻ ലോട്ടറി ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റിന് കോടതി നിർദ്ദേശം നൽകി.

The Kerala High Court has stayed the disbursement of the ₹20 crore first prize of the Christmas–New Year bumper lottery. The action was taken by Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas on a petition filed by Piravom native and retired ASI K.K. Sajimon. In his plea, Sajimon claimed that the winning ticket originally belonged to him, that he had lost it, and that it unexpectedly came into the possession of another person.
