My FIRST video! Part 1 of 2. The BEST school bus EVER!! Take a ride on perhaps the only known footage to exist on YouTube of an active Gillig Phantom School Bus built in the 1980s, owned and operated by Kamehameha Schools - Kapālama Campus in Honolulu, Hawai`i. Bus 312 is the only remaining Gillig Phantom school bus left in Kamehameha Schools' (KS) bus fleet and is (to my knowledge) the ONLY (school/transit) bus left in the State of Hawai`i with a Detroit Diesel 6V92 engine!!! Honolulu was once a haven for Gillig Phantom buses back in the day, when both KS' and TheBus' fleet of Gillig Phantoms ('83-'84 models) roamed the island with 6V92 engines. Now, this is the only relict left of a bus STILL running a 6V92 engine: the original, granddaddy of ALL Gillig Phantom models - the Gillig Phantom School Bus!! Enjoy!!
