Genetic testing doesn’t always deliver a simple “yes” or “no.” Sometimes results fall into a gray area called a Variant of Uncertain Significance (VUS).
A VUS means a change in DNA has been found, but scientists don’t yet know whether it’s harmful or harmless.
These results are common — and often get reclassified over time as research advances.
