I first tried to visit the Luang Prabang National Museum, but I was quickly turned away because I was wearing shorts. Instead, I decided to go shopping at the night market and found a cheap pair of "elephant pants" to help me get into the museum. I perused the stalls until an unusual amount of flies started to swarm through the market. I then made my way over to an alley where cheap street food could be found. Only 15,000 kip for a full meal! From there, I went to Utopia, a popular backpacker bar that's a great place to meet other travelers.

The next day, I got into the National Museum with the ticket I bought the day before. The National Museum is worth a visit, though neither photographing nor filming is allowed inside. After that, I met up with my friends Katja and Isabel, and we ascended Mt. Phou Si, the highest point in the main part of town. We watched the sunset and explored the temples and worship areas throughout the hill.
