Examon could become a real meta contender in the next format - so long as your opponent doesn't play scrambles
R1 - DexDorugoramon (2-0)
Very comfortable matchup, locked him out of raising using Slayerdramon and consistently removed his rookies so he couldn't establish a board.
R2 - ACCEL (2-0)
Once again, Slayerdramon locking him out of raising meant he would struggle to cheat out his level 6's, effectively winning me the matchup on the spot.
R3 - Gallantmon X (2-1)
Played against a very proficient player, whiffed a rookie game 1 and he found everything so was a quick loss. Game 2 and 3 were grind games using Slayerdramon and setting up board for an otk with Examon + two security +1 inheritables. Could have gone either way.
R4 - HeavyMetaldramon (2-1)
Very lose game, game 1 was a blowout on my end, with game 2 seeing my opponent blow up my stack before I could ace as I had the BT20 Slayerdramon and not EX3. Game 3 was won due to a massive misplay on his part - I raised too early and could have been massively punished for it, but he set up his trash wrong, allowing me to easily ace during his swing.
