Tag along with me as I follow the old Hamley Bridge to Gladstone railway line. Beginning at a junction from the Roseworthy-Peterborough line, it was connected to the Port Wakefield line at Balaklava and extended to Blyth before finally reaching the town of Gladstone in 1894.
The line past Balaklava closed in the late 80s. The last train to Balaklava was in 2004. Let’s see what it looks like in 2022.

Due to the junction east of the station, rains using the route between Gladstone and Adelaide needed to change direction at Balaklava as the station was originally part of the Port Wakefield line to the west.
These were (most of) the stopping places and stations on the line:
• Hamley Bridge
• Stockyard Creek
• Owen
• Ridgeway
• Balaklava
• Halbury
• Hoyleton
• Kybunga
• Blyth
• Hart
• Brinkworth
• Yacka
• Gulnare
• Georgetown
• Gladstone
Let me know if I missed any!
