We are officially on Big Bear Pip Watch beginning March 31st - (Day 35) for egg #1. Big Bear eggs typically hatch 37-40 days after laying! After the first pip is seen, there is usually a hatch 24-48 hours later! Can't wait!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥

Jackie gets up for her first break of the day after incubating the eggs overnight. She flies to Lookout Snag to preen. Shadow went fishing early and he brings a fish back to the nest. Jackie sees him flying in and she leaves LS and returns to the nest to claim her fish gift! Shadow has a large crop and the fish is missing its head lol Jackie takes the fish and eats it, Shadow will depart. When finished Jackie will incubate the eggs.

Jackie will take a break later in the morning & Shadow takes over the egg shift. While incubating the eggs,Shadow will get up a few times to roll the eggs and we have a zoom on them - cam op looking for that first pip - or crack in the egg. None seen from this egg position, Shadow returns to incubate.

Jackie arrives with nice wet fluff and Shadow tries to take it and spread it but Jackie gives him a little nip & beakie action with soft vocals saying she wants the honors. Shadow will take a break and Jackie will incubate the eggs.

The nest is ready for the eaglets when they hatch. It is an exciting time right now in Big Bear and anticipation is high! Thank you for watching!
