GLOBAL ROBOTIC SURGERY TRAINING CENTER LAUNCHED AT AMC

Описание: At a time when interest in minimally-invasive surgery is growing around the world, a new robotic surgery training center has been launched at AMC. Equipped with a world-class level of expertise in this field, the institution now has Asia's fourth robotic surgery training center, and the twenty-third in the world.
AMC currently has a total of three da Vinci robotic surgical systems, after recently acquiring the da Vinci Si HD system, a new model offering dramatically enhanced resolution. To mark the opening of the new robotic surgery training center, AMC hosted a ceremony attended by experts in the field, from AMC and beyond.
The newly-launched training center is equipped with a state-of-the-art da Vinci robotic surgical system to be utilized for training at the Asan Education Research Center's Animal Research Lab. AMC plans to provide high-level training to experts involved in robotic surgery, as well as to domestic and foreign medical professionals preparing to work in the field.
At the Center, trainees will be able to receive personalized instruction through a combination of training on laboratory animals and observation of actual surgical operations conducted by AMC surgeons with extensive experience in robotic surgery.
Since its first robotic surgery was performed in 2007 on a prostate cancer case, AMC has gained a wealth of experience in advanced robotic surgery, applying techniques that minimize neurological and vascular damage. With more than thirty-eight hundred advanced robotic surgery cases under its belt in a range of surgical fields, AMC has raised the clinical efficacy of robotic surgery and confirmed its safety.
