Carole Switzer - lawyer, first generation American, pioneer of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Carole joins Humans of GRC to talk about her life story - from being one of the first women in regulatory law to cofounding the organization that literally coined the term GRC.
Raised in a socially conscious household with a focus on civil rights, Carol's career began during the Reagan era, where she specialized in regulatory issues. Her early legal work led her to realize the need for structured compliance approaches in businesses. After meeting fellow cofounder Scott Mitchell, they banded together to create the Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG), the global nonprofit organization and community so businesses could achieve objectives, address uncertainty and act with integrity.
