Yes, but she quickly fell in love with all of historic Savannah. When we say Historic Savannah, we absolutely mean historic Savannah! The oldest home in America is here and was built in 1770. It has some of the oldest surviving buildings in the USA and we loved it.

Bonaventure Cemetery was a bonus on this trip and it was worth the extra day in Savannah. If you enjoy old cemeteries (why wouldn't you?) you will be in heaven in this historic and stunningly beautiful place of rest.

Johnny Mercer was a wonderful surprise for us but we very much enjoyed the John Walz memorials.
