On August 21st-22nd, 2012, me, Adam (CSX6000) and a few other friends made a visit to Lancaster County, PA to see the Strasburg Railroad and Amtrak action rolling through the Amish Countryside. Our main goal was to see Steam power on one of their early morning freight trains from the NS interchange at Leaman Place to Strasburg to be loaded on trucks promptly after. They used former N&W M Class 4-8-0 475 to pull the freight, with SW8 8618 (ex CR, exx NYC) helping on the rear. CN 2-6-0 89 also handled the passenger trains alongside the 475, making for an interesting day. I also witnessed several Amtrak moves on the Keystone Corridor before calling it a day.
