Shoppers don’t choose brands because they’re loyal. They choose them because, in that moment, they stood out. Every shopping moment is unique and open to be won. Being chosen last time doesn’t create shopper ownership for the next time. Brands must repeatedly compete, moment by moment.
New behavioural research, shared for the first time in this session, reveals how shoppers really make decisions. Why switching is the norm, not the exception. And why brands don’t win by owning customers, but by influencing choice in the moments that matter.
